Karen Tripp is an engaging speaker that captivates her audience with her no nonsense approach to life and life’s challenges. When addressing our church group for cancer survivors “Save Lives as well as Souls” , Karen utilized humor while offering comfort and joy in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I highly recommend Karen to your group or organization as a dynamic speaker.

Cancer is one of those difficult topics that needs to be talked about with sensitivity, honesty and respect. Karen Tripp handles this topic not only as a professional but as a daughter of a colon cancer survivor. Let her provide the understanding you seek with the gentleness you require. Each topic is appropriate for survivors, caregivers and professionals.
NEW! Women and Cancer: Fertility, sexuality and hormonal complications are worries that can plague the minds of women recovering from cancer. Having survived treatment, many are left confused and depressed as they realize that cancer has changed not only their bodies but also how they see themselves as a woman. The temptation is for survivors to settle for less instead of more. After all, shouldn’t they just be glad they’re alive? Women survivors deserve to find fulfillment in life, in relationships and in being a woman.
Families and Cancer: Cancer comes uninvited into our families leaving frustration, exhaustion and fear in its wake. No family is immune. Whether drawing closer to the cancer patient or subtly pulling away, everyone reacts. But please understand this: cancer’s unwelcome entrance does not give it the right to dominate relationships. All cancer patients and their loved ones have the power to choose what role cancer will play in their relationship.
Cancer and Prayer: You’ve prayed for healing but you’re still sick. You’ve prayed for the pain to be removed but it increases. You believe that Jesus is your salvation but in the midst of your cancer, it can be hard to see what He’s doing. Unanswered prayer can hurt – leaving the temptation to pray less instead of more. But amazingly, cancer can take a prayer life from seeing through the eyes of man to yearning to see through the eyes of God. As you draw closer to God, He will draw closer to you.
Cancer-The Unwelcomed Guest: Cancer comes uninvited into our relationships leaving, frustration, exhaustion and fear in its wake. No relationship is immune. The power of the word “cancer” forces people to react based on their personal perceptions and experiences. Whether drawing closer to the survivor or subtly pulling away, everyone reacts. But please understand this: cancer’s unwelcome entrance does not give it the right to dominate relationships. Let Tripp show both survivors and caregivers alike how to have the power to choose what role cancer will play in their relationship.
NEW! Battling Cancer in the Churches: Pick any Sunday in any church and the prayer list on the back of the bulletin will reveal the impact of cancer on the worshiping public. Churches are searching for ways to equip their lay leaders to minster cancer patients, survivors and care givers. Christian Cancer Support Groups using the God is Bigger Than your Cancer Workbook are designed to do just that. Karen Tripp MS has written a Christian cancer workbook complete with a leader’s guide to equip any layperson with a heart to touch the lives of families struggling with cancer.
